Real Estate Boards are an association of REALTORS®. Many RE/MAX Camosun REALTORS® have sat on the VREB Board, including the current and past president.
The Real Estate Board is key in the development of programs. They help standardize and enhance the professionalism and community standing of REALTORS®. Boards were formed in order to establish basic standards for those working in the real estate industry.
The Victoria Real Estate Board (VREB) serves Greater Victoria. The area includes Sooke to Sidney, the Gulf Islands, and up-Island as far as Cherry Point Road in Cobble Hill.
- The Victoria Real Estate Board is one of 11 real estate boards in the province of British Columbia.
- In addition to operating the Multiple Listing Service® within its jurisdictional area, the Board also provides other membership services, education and community representation.
- Membership is voluntary.
Each Board operates under its own Bylaws and Regulations and is dedicated to the concept of promoting interest in the purchase and sale of real estate in British Columbia and in continuing the concept of private ownership in real estate.
The mission of the Victoria Real Estate Board is to, “Make good REALTORS® better”.
